After 490 days out following a devastating ACL injury, Wolves’ talented young striker is back and ready to make her mark in her comeback season.
Wolves’ number 31 developed as a youngster in their youth set up before making her senior debut in September of 2022. It was during loan spells with then Tier 4 side Sporting Khalsa Women that Skye Owen demonstrated her unbelievable talent.
On her first loan spell with the club in the 22/23 campaign, Owen netted 8 times across 14 league games as well as picking up an opposition player of the match award. Her goals were crucial as she guided Khalsa to a 3rd place finish in the Division One Midlands. The following season, Owen went back on loan to Khalsa and found the net 7 times across 15 games.
Thanks to her stellar appearances, Owen was recalled back to her parent club and made 3 appearances for the side in the 23/24 season. In the summer of 2024, Owen unfortunately suffered an ACL injury which saw her out for 17 months.
She has now made her return to play and has been impressing in preseason. Her tenacious nature coupled with a keen eye for goal means that she will undoubtedly be a big name to watch out for in the future.
Yasmin Mosby - Rugby Borough Women

Coming off a strong goalscoring season where Rugby Borough’s number 27 picked up her side’s golden boot with an incredible tally of 20 goals in 27 appearances, Yasmin Mosby will be raring to go again in 25/26.
Lethal in front of goal, Mosby bearing down on goal is one of the scariest sights for any defence in the Northern Premier Division. Not just a goalscorer, her 2 opposition player of the match accolades that she picked up last season demonstrates her ability to dominate games. As well as that, Mosby also captained her side 4 times last season illustrating her strong leadership qualities.
Previously having played in America for Concord University where she managed a staggering tally of 68 goals and assists combined across 88 appearances, Mosby has numerous accolades to her name. Not only did she pick up the DII National Top Scorer award, she also was named a First Team All American. As well as excelling at US collegiate level, Mosby has also impressed in the UK and picked up the FAWNL League Cup trophy with Nottingham Forest Women.
After a strong 5th place league finish and a truly remarkable Adobe Women’s FA Cup run which saw them face off against WSL side Liverpool FC Women, Rugby will have high hopes for this season. One thing is for sure, Yasmin Mosby’s goals could really make the difference this year.
Southern Premier Division
Charlotte Whitmore - Plymouth Argyle Women

Finishing just 3 points off the drop, Plymouth Argyle Women’s 24/25 top scorer Charlotte Whitmore played a huge role in their fight for survival in the Southern Premier Division.
The pacey attacker not only provided a crucial 14 goals for her side last season, she also picked up 9 opposition player of the match awards, capping off a standout season for the forward. Argyle fans will therefore doubtless be over the moon that their lucky charm has recently signed a new contract with the club committing herself to the 25/26 season.
At only 23 years old, Whitmore has already cemented her place at the club and her receiving the 24/25 Argyle player of the season award demonstrates just how crucial she is to this Plymouth side. Originally from Cornwall, this club holds a big place in her heart and Whitmore turned down interest from other clubs to commit to the club that she has already made over 90 appearances for.
With Plymouth having secured the services of ex-Stoke City Women manager Marie Hourihan for this season, they will be looking to improve on last season’s finish. With Whitmore’s lightning pace, tricky footwork and excellent finishing ability, there is no reason why Argyle could not shock a few sides this year.
Una Lue - Cheltenham Town Ladies

Cheltenham’s number 21 Una Lue is doubtless amongst the most exciting young forwards in the Southern Premier Division. Last season she not only collected 4 opposition player of the match awards, Lue also recorded an impressive tally of 11 league goals with her excellent performances guiding her side to an 8th place finish.
Having previously played for Gloucester Schools FA before signing for Cheltenham Town Ladies, Lue, despite her young age, has already recorded over 50 appearances for the Robinesses. As well as impressing for Gloucester, Lue has also excelled on the international stage having made her debut for Jamaica Women. Just in February, she opened the scoring for Jamaica in their 4-0 victory against Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Both quick and tricky with the ball, Lue’s talent coupled with her hardworking nature make her truly a force to be reckoned with on the pitch. Her ability to terrorize defenders and lead dangerous attacks saw her pick up both the top scorer accolade and the goal of the season award.
With her excellent attitude which sees her demonstrate maturity beyond her age, Lue will be a player to keep an eye on this season in the Southern Premier Division.
